Drive sync and ZIP unpacking
Taking files put directly into Drive folders into the document centre, and unpacking invoice packages (ZIP) in the background with recognition.
If someone puts a file directly into the company's Google Drive folder, the document centre does not know about it. The Drive sync takes these files in. ZIP unpacking turns each PDF of an invoice package into a document and sends it for recognition.
Sync from Drive
- In the Documents list choose the client company in the filter.
- Click Sync from Drive (files added to the client folder by hand appear in the doc center) in the header.
- The message says the task was queued and gives its queue number. With the right, a link leads to the background job list.
- You get a notification at the end; the new documents appear in the list.
The sync walks the folders of the company's Drive storage rules in full depth. The file stays on the Drive and is only registered. Google's own document formats are skipped. The sync also runs hourly on its own.
Unpacking a ZIP package
- Find the uploaded ZIP file in the list and click Unpack ZIP in its row menu.
- Choose Unpack into (root folder) (storage account, drive, folder or local directory) and, if needed, a New subfolder (optional).
- Start it. Unpacking runs in the background: every PDF becomes a document and is sent for recognition. You get a notification at the end.
When started from the row action, the original ZIP is kept. A local ZIP may be at most 300 MB.
Example
The accounting office sends the monthly invoices in a ZIP with 120 PDFs. After uploading, unpack it with Unpack ZIP into the subfolder "Invoices/2026-03"; the next day the 120 documents are in the list and the recognised invoices are recorded.
