Bank import: per-row recognition and manual invoice matching

Recognising one statement row or clearing recognition, assigning invoices by hand, editing the planned document, new partner, partner repointing, booking as unidentified, and managing recognition rules.

If the matching engine did not recognise a row, or recognised it wrongly, you can fix it row by row: rerun recognition, assign invoices by hand, edit the planned document, or create a rule so that it works on its own next time.

Per-row recognition

  • Recognize this row (rules + invoice matching) (magic wand icon, on new and retry rows): runs the engine for this row only. If nothing is found, it explains which rule failed on which condition.
  • Clear recognition — back to New (rule/match removed) (turn-back arrow, on recognised or manual rows): deletes the planned items.

Assigning invoices by hand

  1. Open Bank → Bank import and click Assign invoice(s) in the row.
  2. The window searches the open invoices of the statement owner's company. Search in Search open invoices; filter by Customer invoices or Supplier invoices, by amount, or with Only open and Show all. Suggested invoices show the reason (for example the invoice number found in the memo).
  3. Select the invoices and change the amount per row if needed. The window shows Selected invoices total and Difference; when they match: “Amounts match!”
  4. Click Save. Each selected invoice becomes a settling item; a remainder over 2 forints stays as a separate pending item.

With Planned transaction (head + items) — editable (eye icon) you can change the names and amounts of the items before finalising.

Further row actions

  • Repoint partner: moves an invoice recorded on a technical partner (for example a private person) to the real company, with the related documents and files.
  • New partner (person-plus icon): creates a minimal partner company; the name needs at least 3 characters.
  • Assign this bank account to a partner: links the row's partner bank account to a company.
  • Book as unidentified: records the full amount of the row as an unidentified item; the row becomes “Recognized”.
  • Create transaction document manually (prefilled from this row): opens the document form with the row's data — see Recording a transaction document.
  • Save as bank export template: turns the row's beneficiary account and remittance into a transfer template (without an amount).

Recognition rules

  1. The Rules button at the top right opens the Recognition rules (parameter table) panel; each rule shows how many rows it matched.
  2. Here you switch a rule on or off and delete it — deletion is only possible if no row refers to it.
  3. For a new rule use the row's pencil icon (Create rule): the rule editor opens with the row's data.

Example

Example plc paid two invoices with one transfer, but the remittance has no invoice number. The accountant opens Assign invoice(s), selects the two open invoices and saves when the window shows “Amounts match!”.
