Resource balances and movements

How much of a client's quota for features, products and services is granted, used and valid until when; manual adjustment and the movement log.

Resource balances show how much quota a client has for a feature, product or service, how much has been used, how much is left and until when it is valid. The Resource movements log records every change line by line.

Viewing a balance and adjusting it

  1. Open Subscription → Resource balances.
  2. Filter with Company group, Client, Resource type, Source and Availability, then click Filter.
  3. Read the granted, used and remaining quantity (or the unlimited mark), the source and the validity in the row.
  4. To adjust, click the blue pencil icon (Adjust) in the row. In the Manual adjustment window enter Quantity and Note, then click Save. The message is "The adjustment has been recorded."
  5. The link in the row opens the movements of the grant under Subscription → Resource movements.

What do positive and negative quantities mean?

A positive value raises the grant, a negative one records extra usage. The change is written as a movement, so the history is kept. With a zero quantity: "Enter a non-zero quantity."

The movement log

In Resource movements you can filter by Movement type (for example receipt, sale, subscription grant, usage, manual adjustment, expiry, reversal), Grant ID and the From–To dates. Each row shows a signed quantity, source, state and note.

Example

Sample Ltd. has a quota of 100 invoices a month, of which 98 are used. Because of a credited complaint the administrator records +10 with the note "Complaint credit"; 12 remain, and the manual adjustment appears in the movement log.
