Row actions, status and company picker: uniform handling

Row actions sit in the same place on every list, the status in the same place on every form, and a company is always chosen with the same picker. This is how to read and use them.

The lists and forms of the system share one structure. Once you know where the row actions are, where the status is set and how a company is chosen, you can work the same way in every menu.

Row actions in lists

In the right-most Action column of a list, the top row holds at most the main action (usually the blue pencil, Edit) and the three-dot button (More actions).

  1. Click the three-dot icon of the row: a menu opens with every action shown with an icon and a caption, grouped under headings when there are many.
  2. The status switch is at the end of the menu: green tick (Activate) or yellow ban sign (Deactivate).
  3. Last of all, below a separator line, comes the red bin (Delete).
  4. The grey double down arrow at the right of the bottom row of the action column opens the row details; the arrow turns over when open.
Only actions you have the right for are shown. If you have none, the three-dot button is not shown either. Where a row has only one or two actions in total, they appear as direct buttons without a menu.

Status on forms

At the top of the left (narrower) column of a form there is a card of its own captioned Status, with two buttons: Active (green) and Inactive (grey). On a single-column form this card is the first element. Exceptions are the invoice, whose status is a processing state, and the API account, whose status is set by the sign-in flow.

Choosing a company

Wherever a company, partner or client is chosen, three elements stand in one row: the chosen company's ID, the name search and the new company button.

  1. Start typing the company name in the search field.
  2. Move through the matches with the arrow keys; Enter chooses, Esc closes the list.
  3. After choosing, the company's ID appears in front of the field.
  4. If the company is not in the system yet, click the button with the person-plus icon (New company (opens in a new tab)): an empty partner form opens in a new tab. This button appears only with the right to create companies.

Exceptions are the company group and company pair of filter panels and the chip pickers that assign several items.

Example

In the Document → Folders list the row of a shared folder shows the pencil and the three dots at the top. The menu contains: Open in Documents, Download the whole folder (watermarked ZIP), Copy the portal link of this folder, a separator, Deactivate, Delete. For a user with read-only rights neither the pencil nor the three dots appear.
