Payment settings

Choose the payment provider, enter the merchant details, start a test payment and view the latest payment transactions.

The Payment settings page defines how subscribers pay: in manual mode an administrator adds credit; with a card provider subscribers pay online. The page shows the current state and can start a test payment.

Setting up a provider

  1. Open Subscription → Payment settings.
  2. Choose the Provider.
  3. For a real provider enter Merchant ID, API key and Webhook signing secret, and set Test mode.
  4. Choose Our company (contract party).
  5. Copy the Webhook address with Copy and enter it at the provider.
  6. Click Save.
  7. For a test payment choose a Subscription, enter Amount and Currency and click Start test payment. Refresh reloads the transaction list.

What the state message means

  • Manual mode: an administrator adds credit; no card provider is connected.
  • With the merchant id or the secret missing no charge starts; until then subscriptions are paid from the balance.
  • SimplePay in test mode moves no real money; in live mode real charges are made.
  • A provider without an adapter is listed but cannot charge; SimplePay is the implemented one.

Messages

  • "A signing secret is required for a real provider."
  • "SimplePay accepts HUF, EUR or USD!"
  • "Select a subscription — the transaction and the confirmation are tied to it!"

Example

You choose SimplePay in test mode, enter the merchant details and start a HUF 1,000 test payment on Sample Ltd.'s subscription. The transaction appears in the list; after a successful test switch test mode off.
