Managing live subscriptions
The list of clients' live subscriptions: state, plan, period, items and limits, credit and cancellation.
The Subscriptions list shows the live subscriptions of clients. Here you create a subscription, change its state, set individual items and limits, add credit and cancel it.
Creating and changing a subscription
- Open Subscription → Live subscriptions (per client).
- Filter by State, Plan, Billing period and the User, e-mail or plan code search.
- For a new subscription click Add subscription, for an existing one the blue pencil icon in its row.
- Choose Subscriber (user) and Plan (both required) and set Seats, Client, Billing company, Billing e-mail and Cancel at period end.
- In the item block Load from plan copies a plan's items, or you add functions, services and products one by one; per item you can set Usage limit, Metric and Overage price.
- Click Save. A new subscription starts with a 7-day trial.
- Change the state with the state icon in the row (Change state).
States
Trial, Active, Past due, Suspended, Canceled, Expired. Switching to trial, active or past due gives every user of the client the plan's functions. The system handles the transitions automatically overnight: after the trial it charges, a failed charge makes the subscription past due, lasting non-payment suspends it.
Credit and cancellation
- To add credit fill in Amount to credit and Reason on the form and click Add credit; the form shows the new balance.
- Cancellation: Cancel at period end or Cancel immediately. For an ended subscription: "This subscription has already ended."
- A subscription referenced by a payment transaction cannot be deleted; cancel it instead.
- No new subscription can be started on a retired plan; existing ones keep it.
Example
Anna Kovács, administrator at Sample Ltd., gets the Business plan: you choose her as subscriber, Business as plan, 3 seats and Sample Ltd. as billing company. After saving, a 7-day trial starts and every user of Sample Ltd. receives the Business functions.
