Labels and dimensions

Multilingual labels grouped into dimensions, with colour, icon, parent label and related values. Used to group documents, properties and reports.

Labels are the shared grouping marks of the system: documents, properties and invoices can be tagged, and reports total by dimension. Every label belongs to a dimension (key) and may have a parent in the same dimension.

Adding a label

  1. Open Master datas → Labels and click the blue + button at the top right.
  2. Enter Name in at least one language (at most 32 characters).
  3. Choose the Dimension. A new dimension can be added from the form: type its name and it is created on save.
  4. If the label sits under another one, choose it in Parent; only labels of the same dimension are offered.
  5. As needed, set Colour, Icon (Font Awesome), Value type, Type action, and link other labels under Add a related value (Valid from, Valid to).
  6. Click Save. The form stays open.
A label cannot be the parent of its own descendant: the system rejects such a loop.

Managing dimension keys

The key panel opened from the list header maintains the dimensions: Key (capitals, digits, underscore), Name, Key type, Reportable, Sort order and status.

Deletion

The bin icon deletes only labels without references. For the others it lists where and how often they are used (for example allocation, tagged object, child label).

Example

In the "Project" dimension add the label "Minta utca 1 renovation" in blue. Tag the renovation's invoices and documents with it, and the report totals by project.
