Cash registers
Create cash registers per client company with currency and ledger account. Every cash voucher belongs to a cash register recorded here.
Every cash voucher belongs to a cash register. Here you create the client company's cash registers: the name, the currency and the ledger account the register posts to.
Creating a cash register
- Open Master datas → Cash registers.
- Click the blue + button at the top right (Add).
- Choose the company in Client company. Only companies you have access to are listed.
- Fill in Name, Currency and Ledger account.
- Leave the Status card on Active and click Save.
| Field | Rule | Message |
|---|---|---|
| Client company | required | "Client company is required!" |
| Name | at least 2 characters | "Name must be at least 2 characters!" |
| Currency | 3-letter code, e.g. HUF, EUR | "Currency must be a 3-letter code (e.g. HUF, EUR)!" |
| Ledger account | digits only, at most 16 | "Ledger account is required (digits only, max 16)!" |
Editing, status, deletion
Edit with the blue icon of the row; the green tick (Enable) and the yellow ban sign (Disable) switch the status. The red bin icon deletes only if no voucher refers to the register yet; otherwise you see: "Warning: Cash register "Petty cash" cannot be deleted, 14 transaction(s) refer to it!" In that case disable the register instead.
Example
Sample Ltd. keeps two registers: "Petty cash" in HUF on ledger account 3811 and "Currency cash" in EUR on 3812. When a cash voucher is recorded, the register matching its currency can be chosen.
