Background jobs: where to see what runs and what happened
The system's background worker, started every minute, does the NAV sync, e-mail reading, interest and exchange rate calculation and much more; here you see what waits, what ran and what failed.
The system does a lot of work in the background: it downloads NAV invoices and exchange rates, reads e-mails, issues interest documents and prepares watermarked downloads. A worker started every minute processes these from a shared job queue. On screen you see what is waiting, what is running and what the result was.
Where to look
- Open System → Cron scheduler: it shows queued and scheduled jobs with their next run time.
- The progress of larger multi-step work (for example a NAV download or unpacking a package) is shown under System → Async jobs.
- The bell icon in the header (Notifications) tells you when background work has finished or, for example, when the NAV sync found an error.
- The detailed run entries are in the System log.
