Legacy background processes: what the system does on its own
An overview of the older scheduled background processes: tax authority invoice and company data download, e-mail processing, auctions, base rate, statistical data, courier settlement and expiry of registrations.
Besides the new job queue the system also runs older scheduled background processes. They download data, process e-mails and maintain master data without user intervention. This guide tells you what each process does and where its result appears.
What the background processes do
| Process | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tax authority invoice data | downloads the additional line data of at most 10 not yet processed invoices per minute |
| Tax account, missing returns | starts the check of the tax account and of missing tax returns |
| E-mail processors | read and process e-mails from the configured mailboxes, filter duplicates, match invoices |
| Storage connections | refresh the sign-in tokens of Google Drive and Microsoft accounts |
| Auctions | download the list, details and bids of court bailiff auctions |
| Courier cash on delivery | daily downloads the 7-day cash-on-delivery settlement of active accounts and links it to invoices |
| Base rate | downloads the central bank and European base rate series; for an empty series 10 years back |
| Statistical data | downloads and processes statistical datasets and matches addresses to the settlement master |
| Expiry of registrations | marks registrations left unpaid as expired and deactivates the company and its members — without deleting |
| Website monitoring | requests the configured website and records the response time |
Where you see the result
Downloaded invoices appear in the invoice list, companies among the partners, the base rate in interest calculation, statistical data in the statistics modules. Errors of the runs go to the system log.
Example
In the morning 12 new incoming invoices from the tax authority appear among Sample Ltd.'s invoices; a few minutes later their additional line data is filled in, because the background process handles at most 10 invoices per minute.
