Tourist tax settings per municipality and year
How to record a municipality's tourist tax rate for a year and the empty return form downloaded from the municipal portal, from which the return XML is built.
In the tourist tax settings one row means one municipality for one year: the tax rate (HUF per guest night) and the empty form downloaded from the e-önkormányzat portal, from which the system builds the return XML. Without a setting the return for that municipality cannot be prepared.
Steps
- Open NAV → Tourist tax (IFA) and click the grey gear button Settings. The Municipalities by year list opens.
- On the e-önkormányzat portal open the municipality's tourist tax form and save the empty form data as XML.
- Click the blue + button at the top right (Add).
- Upload the file in Empty form XML downloaded from the portal. The system fills in the fields left empty from the form: municipality, year, rate, portal IDs, form code, version and variant.
- Check and correct if needed: Municipality, Town (matched with the town of the property), Year, Tax rate (Ft / guest night).
- Set Status to active and click Save.

Messages
- "This municipality already has a setting for this year."
- "The file is too large (max. 2 MB)."
- "The XML is not a tourist tax return form (ASP-ADO-035)."
- On deletion, if returns refer to the setting, for example: "Not deleted: 3 return(s) refer to this setting." Deactivate it with the yellow ban icon of the row instead.
Example
Sample Ltd.'s accommodation is in Siófok. The accountant downloads the empty 2026 form from the portal and uploads it; the system fills in the town, the year and the rate. After saving, the setting is selected automatically in the 2026 returns for Siófok.
