Setting up an SMS gateway
Add an SMS gateway per client company: choose the provider, enter connection details, set the default gateway, test the connection and send a test SMS.
An SMS gateway is a phone app or service through which the system can send SMS. Here you enter the connection details per client company and test the connection.
Adding a gateway
- Open Master datas (Google / AI / WIP) → SMS gateway and click the blue + button at the top right.
- Choose the Client company and enter a Name.
- In Provider choose Android SMS Gateway, Traccar SMS Gateway (Google Play) or SMSMobileAPI.
- Under Provider settings fill in the fields shown (for example Gateway / API URL, Username, Password, API key, SIM slot).
- If this is the company's main gateway, switch on Default gateway.
- Click Save.
Secret fields (password, key) are masked after saving. If you leave them masked, the previous value is kept. Marking a gateway as default removes the default flag from the company's other gateways.
Connection test and test SMS
- Click Test connection in the row or on the form. The result is shown in the row of the list.
- On the form, under Send test SMS, enter Phone number and Message and send.
Example
Sample Ltd. uses an office Android phone as gateway. It adds "Office phone" with the Android SMS Gateway provider as default, then sends a test SMS to its own mobile.
