Exchange rates

The stored list of the MNB daily exchange rates. Check which rates are available and fetch a missing period by hand if needed.

The system calculates the forint value of foreign-currency invoices from the daily rates of the Hungarian National Bank. This screen shows the stored rates and lets you download a missing period by hand.

The list

Master datas → Exchange rates. At the top is the Latest stored rate per currency strip. The list shows Currency, Rate date, Rate (HUF), Rate for one unit and Source. The per-unit rate matters because the MNB quotes some currencies per 100 units.

Downloading a period by hand

  1. In the filter set Date from and Date to. Left empty, the last 30 days are loaded.
  2. If you need one currency only, choose it in Currency; empty means every currency of the master list.
  3. Leave Source on MNB.
  4. Click the cloud download icon (Sync from MNB). The message tells you how many rates were stored.
With another source the download does not start: "Only the MNB source can be synchronised at the moment."

Automatic update

Every day the system downloads yesterday's and today's rates. If it has not run for a while, it fills the missing days (up to 30 days back). Euro and US dollar are always included.

Example

Sample Ltd. records a Swiss franc invoice dated 5 Jan 2026, but the list has no CHF rate for that day. Choose 1–10 Jan 2026 and CHF in the filter and sync; the forint value of the invoice can then be calculated.
