Invoices on a contract and exchange rate recalculation

Linking invoices to a contract, and recalculating the forint value of foreign-currency invoices under the exchange rate rule set in the contract.

Invoices linked to a contract are shown on its data sheet. For a foreign-currency contract the forint value of the invoices can be recalculated with the rate day and rate source set in the contract: first as a preview, then applied.

Linking an invoice

  1. Open the contract from Contracts → Contracts with the blue edit icon.
  2. In the invoice block click Link invoice and find the invoice.
  3. Choose it: the invoice is linked to the contract. Unlink invoice removes the link.
Only invoices of the contract's client company can be linked, and an invoice already belonging to another contract cannot be moved.

Recalculating exchange rates

  1. On the contract check Exchange-rate source and Exchange-rate day. Without a source in the contract, the company's accounting policy applies, and finally the MNB.
  2. Click Recalculate exchange rates (preview). The table shows per invoice the rate day, the rate and the new forint value under the contract.
  3. A flagged row means the ledger gross value differs from the new forint value by more than HUF 1 – worth checking.
  4. Click Apply. The system rewrites the rate, updates the exchange differences of settlements, the outstanding balance and the interest document.
Invoices in a closed period are skipped; their rate does not change.

Example

Under a euro lease contract the rate is the MNB rate of the performance day. Link this year's three invoices with Link invoice, preview and apply the recalculation; the invoices' forint values follow the contract rate.
