Sent mail log – system description
Data sources of the log of sent and queued mail, how details, resend and the atomic cancel work, and the permission keys.
Overview
Read-only log: who received what and when, and what is queued; resend and cancel. Table names carry the installation's own prefix in the database.
Data model
| Table | Role |
|---|---|
email_message | log row of the mail (subject, module, status, timestamps) |
email_content | body of the mail |
mail_log_item | items per recipient |
Endpoints
| Endpoint | Permission | Behaviour |
|---|---|---|
log.list | list | filters: subject, recipient, module, status, date from and to |
log.view | view | the mail, the recipient items and the documents tied to it (dlbtmail->objectDocIds('email', id)) |
log.resend | resend | a new mail with the stored recipients, subject and body via dlbtmail->send(), with a new log row; no attachments are passed |
log.cancel | cancel | Dlbtmail::cancel() with an atomic UPDATE, only if the worker has not started; otherwise error_not_cancellable |
cancel is a separate key; view and resend do not include it. cancel is not in the catalogue; the other keys are not classified, in practice UNMAPPED.
Known limitations
The list, the details and resend have no content (client) scope.
