KSH settlement register and address matching

The register of settlements with postcode, county, district, region and NUTS code, and how company addresses are matched to the settlements.

The Settlements menu shows the settlement register according to the Hungarian Central Statistical Office: postcode, county, district, region and NUTS code. Once company addresses are matched to this register, company tiles, the property price report and the statistics can break data down by county and region.

Building the register and matching addresses

  1. Open KSH → Settlements. The header shows how many settlements are incomplete (no county or NUTS code).
  2. Click Build from addresses in the header. The system adds or refreshes settlements from the names used in company addresses and reports how many rows were processed, added and updated, and how many remain incomplete.
  3. Filter for incomplete rows and complete County and NUTS code with the blue pencil icon (Edit) in the row. Save with Save at the top right.
  4. Click Match addresses (chain icon) in the header. The system goes through the company addresses in batches and links each one to its settlement.

Fields

FieldContentRequired
SettlementName of the settlement, for example Szentendre.yes
KSH codeThe official settlement code. If left empty, the system derives a unique code from the name.no
Postcode, County, District, Region, NUTS code, TypeClassification of the settlement.no
StatusActive or Inactive.no
Building the register never overwrites county and NUTS code, so data completed by hand is kept. Without a name nothing is saved: "Warning: Settlement name is required!"

What does the matching result mean?

If the city of an address matches a settlement with a NUTS code, the match is complete. If the settlement exists but has no NUTS code, the match is partial. If there is no such settlement, the address stays unmatched. Matching can be run again at any time, and the system can also run it as a background process.

Example

Sample Ltd.'s address is "2000 Szentendre, Minta utca 1.". After building the register, Szentendre appears as incomplete; once county and NUTS code are added and matching has run, the company tile also shows the county.
