Contract templates, placeholders and bilingual documents

How to edit the templates of contracts, amendments, terminations, certificates and other documents in three languages, how to insert placeholders, and how the bilingual PDF works.

Contract documents are made from templates. The template text contains placeholders that the system fills with the contract's data. Every template has Hungarian, English and German versions; a foreign-language document is always bilingual with a Hungarian column.

Where to find it

Contracts → Contract templates. Filter the list by name, type and status; language badges in the rows show which languages are filled in (HU, EN, DE).

Editing a template

  1. Open Contracts → Contract templates and click the blue pencil icon on the template row, or the blue + button at the top right for a new one.
  2. Set Document type (e.g. Contract, Amendment, Termination notice, Completion certificate) and, if needed, Contract subtype.
  3. Choose the Signing mode: Bilateral, Unilateral or No signature.
  4. To make it the base template of its type, switch on Default for this type.
  5. On every language tab fill in Document title and Text (HTML). Insert placeholders into the text by clicking them in the list.
  6. Choose a real contract and check the result with Preview or PDF preview. Placeholders that cannot be filled are highlighted in yellow.
  7. Click Save.

Bilingual documents

Every document needs a Hungarian text. If the chosen language is not Hungarian, the PDF has two columns: Hungarian on the left, the foreign language on the right, paired by paragraph. If the template has no Hungarian version, no foreign-language document is created and the system says so. Use Bilingual preview in the list to check the pairing.

An unknown or unfillable placeholder stays empty in the issued document. In the preview it is shown in yellow with its name — check before saving.

Example

You rewrite a paragraph on the German tab of the brokerage contract template and request a preview with contract SZ-2026-0012. The German PDF appears in two columns: Hungarian on the left, German on the right; the parties' data and the commissions are filled from the contract.
