Account coding settings

Managing the account coding parameters per type as key–value pairs: adding, editing, switching on and off, deleting.

The account coding settings hold the parameters for coding different invoice types (for example fuel, lease or bank invoices) as key–value pairs. Coding takes ledger account numbers and similar values from here.

Finding parameters

  1. Open Finance → Contir settings.
  2. Filter by Contir type, Parameter group, Parameter key and Status, then click Filter.

Adding or editing a parameter

  1. Click Add parameter, or the row's pencil icon.
  2. Fill in Contir type, Parameter group and Parameter key.
  3. Choose Value type (text, integer or structured value) and fill in Parameter value and Note.
  4. Click Save.

The row's on/off icon (Enable, Disable) switches a parameter off temporarily. The bin icon deletes it permanently.

Checks

  • “Contir type is required!” and “Parameter key is required!”
  • For a structured value type: “The value must be valid JSON!”; for an integer: “The value must be an integer!”
  • “This type + group + key combination already exists!”
Deletion does not check whether anything uses the parameter — make sure it is not needed before deleting it.

Example

The net ledger account for fuel invoices changes. The accountant filters for the fuel coding type, opens the parameter holding the net ledger account, changes the value and saves.
