SMTP protocol – system description
Storage of the legacy SMTP master, the steps of the strict connection test, the documented exception from the central sending path and the leftover endpoint.
Overview
Legacy SMTP settings master with a connection test. Table names carry the installation's own prefix in the database; the table is smtp.
Endpoints

smtp.test | strict pre-check with the stored parameters: connect, EHLO, STARTTLS, AUTH LOGIN, QUIT; then a real test message with the base framework's mail library to the given address or the store e-mail. This is a documented exception from the central sending path (Dlbtmail::dispatch). |
smtp.test222 | leftover endpoint; always returns success without a permission check |
Permissions
- Layer 1: list with base access;
save,delete,testwith base modify permission. - Layer 2: the header "+" button follows
canAction(add); the list key isUNMAPPEDand not checked. - Layer 3: none.
Known limitations
The test222 endpoint is reachable without a permission check; saving does not validate.
