KSH statistics and raw datasets

Import and chart of county-level statistical indicators, and browsing and charting the raw rows of downloaded KSH datasets.

Two menus work with KSH data. Statistics downloads county-level (NUTS3) indicators and shows them on a chart, for example the median age. Datasets (raw) shows the complete downloaded datasets row by row, with filters and a chart.

Before you start

There must be an active configuration with code "ksh" under KSH → API configuration, with the datasets to fetch selected. County names come from the settlement register.

Importing county indicators

  1. Open KSH → Statistics.
  2. Click Import from KSH (cloud icon) in the header. The result reads for example: "Import done: 2 indicator(s), 40 values processed, 40 added, 0 updated."
  3. Filter with County, Indicator and Year, then click Filter.
  4. Click the column chart icon. Without a county the chart shows the latest year per county; filtered to one county it shows the trend over the years.

Fetch datasets and Process files do the same in two steps: first the files are downloaded to the server, then they are loaded file by file into the raw data.

Raw datasets

  1. Open KSH → Datasets (raw).
  2. Click Fetch & process (download icon) in the header. For each resource the system downloads, loads and then removes the temporary file; processing a resource again replaces its own earlier rows.
  3. Filter with Dataset, GEO / REF_AREA, Period and Indicator. The Raw button of a row shows the complete original row.
  4. The chart icon draws by area when there are several areas and as a time series for a single area.
If no dataset is selected, the message is: "No datasets are selected for processing (set them in the API configuration)." Clear all deletes every imported raw row; only the top-level administrator sees it.

Example

An analyst at Sample Ltd. looks at the old-age dependency ratio. They import the indicators, choose Pest county on the chart and see how it changed over the years.
